On March 16, 2025, Annette Anderson passed away peacefully in her sleep at the home she and my grandpa Jack built, surrounded by the love and care of my mom, Barb Grom.
Though I will never again share a meal with her, hear her voice on the phone, visit in her den, gather with family in her presence, or welcome her to our home in Minnesota, she will always be with me. Her wisdom and kindness shaped who I am—especially my love of learning.
She has been a cherished part of my writing, often appearing on my blog in the stories and lessons she passed down. Below, I’ve shared some of those moments. Even if you never had the chance to meet her, I hope you’ll find inspiration in her legacy.
Thank you, Gramma! Rest in peace.
