Teaching in the Flow of Life

Heather taught our dog Leia to deliver a cold drink to a friend in our backyard —and she nailed it. Tail wagging, can in mouth, gentle delivery. You can see it here: YouTube Short.
It’s a simple moment, but it says a lot about what learning really looks like:
Teaching is mutual. Whether you’re guiding a pet or a person, both sides grow. Heather learned patience and presence. Leia learned a new way to serve.
Kindness can be taught. Hospitality isn’t just for humans. Thoughtful gestures, like serving someone else, can be modeled, practiced, and shared.
Joy makes it stick. Leia’s tail tells the story—when learning feels like fun, it lasts.
This week, consider what small, meaningful act you could teach—or learn—in the flow of your own life.
